The Blackjack Oak is one tough tree. Typically growing in sunny, poor soil/rocky areas. It thrives in the worst conditions. The blackjack is a very unique species that has been neglected in the gardening world for years. Its time to bring back the Blackjack oak into our communities. Its a great small/medium size tree for small yards. Which can handle sunny and poor dry soil conditions.

This oak can grow to be 20-50 feet tall and wide. It prefers full sun exposure and dry, acidic soil. Its bark is dark and blocky, and its leaves have a distinctive shape that's sometimes described as "wavy."
