Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron Tulipifera)

One of the largest eastern hardwood trees. Fast growing and very striking. Gets an attractive tulip shaped flower in April. An important tree for pollinators. Tulip tree is a host plant for the tiger swallowtail butterfly. Seeds are eaten by a wide array of mammals and birds.
