The most important wildlife tree in our eastern forests. Which we are losing in alarming rates due to development. Plant a white oak tree and provide for our ecosystems for decades to come.

At maturity, the White Oak can reach heights of 80-100 feet with a spread of 50-80 feet. It prefers full sun exposure and well-draining soil that's slightly acidic. This oak is notable for its light-gray bark and its large, rounded leaves. Its acorns are also prized by wildlife for their high fat content.

The White Oak is the state tree of Connecticut, Illinois, and Maryland. (Source: Arbor Day Foundation)
